i liked the xfl but mcmahon tried to turn it into the football version of w.w.e. the biggest issue i think that sunk them was when they were showing shots of the cheerleaders while there was action going on on the field. nobody wants to look at some random skank while a td is being scored in the game.the other killer was they would never have had any quality players because of the incredibly low pay-for-play contracts.last killer was no tv timeouts so you ended up watching more commercials then game.thats just stupid.i like w.w.e. for what it is but you can’t apply that bussiness strategy to football.wrestling fans are way more forgiving then football fans.

As much as I **** to say it , I agree with you. After one season in the league was disbanded. While it’s true the ratings ****** towards the end nevertheless it was football. I think if Mcmahon didnt tried to cross promote the WWE and XFL ( having wrestlers at football games and vice versa ) they could of stayed around a lil bit longer. Right now I would kill for some XFL football because I cant stand baseball.

My thoughts it should’ve never been Created.

Yes it did. Vince McMahon needed to bring it back at least one more year and have the teams get together at least a month before the season to practice together. Then hire some football announcers to announce. The wrestling fans left because it wasn’t wrestling and then the football fans left because the announcers were trying to announce wrestling. The football needed some polishing, but that would have occurred with more practice time before the season began.

i think what they should have done,, was either, market it as old school football,, like the seventies,, where “real men play the game” or they should have marketed it like wrestling rigged the games,, and hit linebackers with folding chairs,, that would have been hillareous,,

Vince did hurt the credibility but it was good football. The cheerleaders were for the guys, The NFL has taked the introduction of the starters to a new level, The coin toss was great, The NFL coin toss is BORING. I loved the ideal of the fastest players lining up at the goal line and whoever recovered the ball won the toss. The quality of play did improve and a lot of people missed it because they didn’t give it a chance. Didn’t Tommy Maddox play for the Champions and then went to the No Fun League and win the Super Bowl with the Broncos?

No. It had too much of a chance to be corrupted by Vince McMahon of the WWE. From there it’s influence may have ruined the NFL!
